Dr. Kathleen Moore is New FMHI Executive Director
Effective August 23, 2018, Dr. Julianne Serovich, Professor and Dean of the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences has announced the appointment of Dr. Kathleen Moore, a Research Assistant Professor in Mental Health Law and Policy at University of South Florida, to the position of Executive Director of the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute.
In her welcoming letter and announcment, Dr. Julianne Serovich wrote, "Dr. Moore received her B.A. in sociology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and both her M.A. and Ph.D. in social/health psychology from Kent State University followed by a fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Moore has served as PI or Co-PI for over five million in external funding to support her research.
As Executive Director, Dr. Moore will provide leadership for the research and training activities of FMHI so it can continue to fulfill its state-mandated mission. She will be the sixth Executive Director in the forty-plus year history of the Institute. I look forward to having her join us as a member of the CBCS Leadership team."
