Criminology Associate Professor Receives Award to Continue Fair and Impartial Policing Training
Lorie Fridell, PhD, has received two new awards from the USDOJ that will support her training of police in Fair and Impartial Policing (FIP).  For one of those contracts ($302,000), Fridell and her team will produce customized curricula for the USDOJ law enforcement agencies, which are the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Marshals, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. For the second contract (4320,000), Fridell and her team will continue to provide FIP training to state and local police agencies around the United States.  The FIP curricula are based on the science of implicit bias.
