 This course prepares individuals to develop a grant application related to their area or program of research. The critical elements and processes for developing an NIH grant application including the Specific Aims, and Research Strategy (significance, innovation and approach) are presented.

Review of funding requirements for NIH "R" Awards, and predoctoral and postdoctoral "F" Awards and selected chosen foundation awards are included. All participants will attain experience in developing and critiquing a grant application among peers.  Dr. Lengacher has expertise as a reviewer in the BMIO NIH Study Section.
