MHLP Faculty Member Represents CBCS as Keynote Speaker for National Events

Nev Jones, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Mental Health Law & Policy and faculty affiliate with the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute. Jones will be representing CBCS at multiple upcoming events, speaking on her research and practice interests. 

  • Jones has been selected as a keynote speaker for the American Mental Health Counseling Association's annual conference to be held in August in Orlando.  Jones will be talking on "Early Intervention as the Future of Behavioral Health." 
  • Jones will be the keynote speaker for the San Francisco Veteran's Administration Mental Health Awareness Month Summit in May.  The title of her keynote is "Engaging with Voices: A Transformative Vision for Mental Health Services."
  • Jones will be a keynote speaker at the international conference "Personification Across Disciplines" to be held at Durham University in the UK in September.  The title of her keynote is "Voices in and as Agents."
  • Jones is a plenary speaker for the biennial meeting of the International Early Psychosis Association (IEPA) in October and invited speaker for an IEPA pre-conference for the US early intervention provider community co-sponsored by the National Institute of Mental Health.  The title of her plenary is "Re-imagining Early Intervention through the Lens of Structural Competency and Co-Production."
