Dr. Roger Peters Serves as Keynote Speaker

Dr. Roger Peters, clinical psychologist and Professor in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy at the University of South Florida served as a keynote speaker for a webinar presented on July 10, 2018, entitled "Opioid Screening and Assessment for People in the Criminal Justice System." More than 1,300 people across the country registered for the webinar, including federal grantees, treatment professionals, and law enforcement and other justice practitioners and first responders. The webinar was hosted by the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center, and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and the Center for Health and Justice at TASC (Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities).  Dr. Peters discussed screening, assessment, and intervention strategies for opioid-dependent persons who are involved with the justice system.
