Generous Gift from the Ralph and Margot Marcadis Family

Grateful to the entire faculty in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders for the guidance they provided and contributions they made in the life of their son, Margot and Ralph Marcadis have established a fund that will assist individuals in the areas of fluency and stuttering.

The Margot and Ralph Marcadis Family Fluency & Stuttering Fund provides support and assistance to financially challenged individuals who might not otherwise have an opportunity to participate in the Program for the Advanced Treatment of Stuttering (PATS).  Designed for pre-teens, teens and adults with persistent stuttering diagnosed in childhood, PATS provides individuals an opportunity to learn about speech anatomy, speech sound formation and how to speak with greater fluency by maintaining new skills learned while in the program.

Due to the thoughtful giving of the Marcadis family which includes Ralph, Margot and their children Rebecca, Stuart and Philip, the lives of many individuals will be positively impacted for a lifetime.
