Social Work Hosts 3rd Annual Social Work Celebration

Last Friday night over 150 Social Work Alumni, Social Workers and Community Leaders gathered for the 3rd Annual Social Work Celebration. The event's theme was Social Work Matters which reflected the value of the social work profession. The event was co-sponsored by the USF School of Social Work and National Association for Social Workers (NASW). The evening highlighted the great work of social workers and their impact on the community. Several individuals were honored for their outstanding work. This included BSW Field Instructor of the Year LaSandra McGrew and MSW Field Instructor of the Year Larry Cooper. In addition, the School of Social Work honored Paul D'Agostino for his lifelong commitment to the social work profession and this community. NASW honored several individuals including Dr. Anne Strozier, Educator of the Year and Tricia Crawford, Social Work Student of the Year.
