School of Social Work Study Abroad Returns from NE India

School of Social Work faculty members, Manisha Joshi, PhD, and Iraida Carrion, PhD, LCSW, along with 15 students recently returned from the northeast Himalayan region in India as part of the USF Study Abroad program. While there, the group was able to immerse themselves in the indigenous context of Northeast India and provide a learning experience about rich cultural traditions, social structures, health practices, lifestyles, natural resources management and sustainable development. Their activities were covered by a local newspaper, and the students maintained a blog of their times there.
