USF TRAIN Award Luncheon
CBCS was well represented at the USF Excellence in Research Administration Sixth Annual TRAIN Award Luncheon held on April 2, 2015. The annual awards honor and celebrate the contributions and accomplishments of highly trained administrators who play a significant role in USF's research enterprise.
The USF TRAIN Associate Ambassador Awards are given to individuals with exceptional contributions to the development and instruction of the CRA-USF/Advanced course and for inspiring others to acquire knowledge and enhance competencies in research administration. Awardees included Julie Kuhn (Dean's Office), Karen Mann (MHLP), Elida Porro (MHLP), Janet Reyes (CFS), and Sheryl Stire (MHLP). The USF TRAIN Associates are recognized for their significant contributions in the development of online course curriculum, development of a mock research project, and delivery of classroom lab courses in addition to guided practice on the use of best practices in research administration. Awardees were Julie Kuhn (Dean's Office), Karen Mann (MHLP), Elida Porro (MHLP), Janet Reyes (CFS), and Sheryl Stire (MHLP). The 2014-15 Inductees to the Academy of Certified Research Administrator are Nancy Bangston (CFS), Kerianne Beckford (Dean's Office), Florence Boddupalli (CFS), Marydalia Daley (CFS), Jonathan Elder (HIV Center), Deedra Gibson (MHLP), Maricel Hernandez (CFS), Julie Kuhn (Dean's Office), Karen Mann (MHLP), Elida Porro (MHLP), Janet Reyes (CFS), Katherine Ringo (MHLP), and Sheryl Stire (MHLP).
In addition, Julie Kuhn was nominated for the Excellence in Research in Administration award. Congratulations to all of our honorees. You make CBCS very proud!
