New Handbook of Communication Disorders Published
Ruth H. Bahr, Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders and Elaine R. Silliman, Professor Emeritus of Communication Sciences and Disorders, are co-editors of the Routledge Handbook of Communication Disorders, published on May 15, 2015. The 36-chapter interdisciplinary volume covers the four key bases of varying communication impairments in infants, children, and adults: the neural/genetic/neurophysiological, perceptual-motor, cognitive-linguistic, and sociocultural bases. The last section focuses on the future integration of the language, speech, and motor domains in order to pursue innovative approaches to assessment and treatment.
