CSD Celebrates 50th Anniversary
On October 17th, the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders celebrated their 50thanniversary with a reception and awards ceremony. In addition to honoring families and donors, CSD launched the inaugural Hall of Fame into which three alumni were inducted. Paula Sullivan, Rachel McArdle, and Dee Adams Nikjeh were inducted into the Hall of Fame. In addition, Dr. Arthur Guilford received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Greater Tampa Sertoma Club received the Community Partner Award. Also speaking at the event was Nada Hanna, a CSD graduate and scholarship recipient, and the Bryce family who shared their family's story of success with the SLP clinic. The evening ended with a heart-warming display of photos of current and previous patients who received services through the CSD clinics.
