CBCS Faculty Receive Global Achievement Awards
Iraida V. Carrion, PhD, Associate Professor in the School of Social Work, and Roger Peters, PhD, Professor in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy both received a Certificate of Global Achievement on November 7, 2017 at the Global Achievement Awards breakfast hosted by USF World. Dr. Carrion received the award for introducing students in social work to global social issues by engaging them in impactful experiences in Spain during a structured experiential learning study abroad program. Dr. Carrion also co-leads an education study abroad program to Northeast India. Dr. Peters also received a Fulbright medal at the ceremony, for completion of a Fulbright Specialist project in Paraguay in August 2017. This was the second Fulbright award received by Dr. Peters in the past three years.
