Dr. Khary Rigg Selected to Attend Drug Policy Alliance Convening

Khary Rigg, PhD, was recently selected by the Drug Policy Alliance to participate in "Unbounded Knowledge," a 2-day invitation only convening in Washington DC on December 7th-8th.  The Drug Policy Alliance is the largest non-profit organization based in the US, with the principal goal of ending the failed "War on Drugs" and promoting common sense, evidence-based drug policy. The Drug Policy Alliance is billing this convening as an opportunity to bring together the most prominent academics and researchers in drugs/policy to discuss the current barriers to innovative drug research (i.e. funding, institutional demands, etc.). Dr. Rigg was one of 20 researchers invited nationwide to attend this convening and was selected on the basis of his research in the area of opioid addiction and mortality.

In this past year alone, Dr. Rigg has presented his research in the area of opioid addiction and mortality in five publications.
