Lanzi, Alyssa, M.S., CF-SLP

Alyssa Lanzi recently graduated with her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Duquesne University in August 2016. She completed a Master’s Thesis entitled, Group External Memory Treatment for Mild Cognitive Impairment. Currently, she is enrolled in the Ph.D. program for Communication Science and Disorders with a concentration in adult neurogenic and nursing home research. Alyssa was the recipient of the 2015 Adult Neurogenic and Communications Disorder conference Student Fellowship and the NIDCD Student Fellowship at the Clinical Aphasiology Conference in 2016. She is particularly interested in studying innovative treatment approaches for adults with neurogenic communication disorders in the nursing home setting. More specifically, Alyssa is interested in developing assessments and interventions incorporating the previous occupational skills of individuals with dementia.
