Penne Williams, LCSW

Penne L. Williams, MSW, LCSW, is a visiting instructor in the School of Social Work, began her journey with USF on the Lakeland Campus in 2003. She received her BSSW from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1985 and her MSW from Florida State University in 1986. Licensed since 1989, she has worked primarily in the field of  health care, from hospitals, hospice, and home health to psychiatric day treatment and psychotherapy with those suffering from mental illness. She has been an active qualified supervisor for future LCSW’s for almost 10 years.  Believing strongly in the advancement of the social work profession, she has continually been involved in NASW since she was an undergraduate at UAB and has served on local and state levels. Her areas of interest are End of Life and Palliative Care, Civil Rights and Autism.
