Welcome Reception Fall 2021
The School of Aging Studies celebrated the start of the Fall 2021 semester with a virtual welcome reception on Friday, Aug. 27. Special guest Dr. Julianne Serovich, Professor and Dean of the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences, started off our reception. Aging Studies Director, Dr. Ross Andel, continued the welcome reception by recognizing the profound loss of Dr. Kathyrn Hyer this year. The reception progressed with the introduction of new Aging Studies faculty, students, and postdoctoral researchers – Visiting Instructor Amy Corbin, Postdoctoral Researchers Sara Hackett and Claire Smith, and PhD students Kristin Calfee and Cassidy Doyle. The School of Aging Studies’ undergraduate general education, research and funding, scholarships and awards, community outreach, and more were discussed.
