Aging Studies Students Tour Alzheimer’s Facility

10 students in the Spring 2014 Alzheimer’s Disease Management class toured Homewood Residences, the ALF and memory care unit of Freedom Plaza in Sun City Center. Beverly Hurley (2^nd from the right) guided the group through the facility. Students had the opportunity to learn about the experiences of an Alzheimer’s patient living in a memory unit, from the program’s origin and philosophy to the day-to-day activities provided to residents.
