THE USF SCHOOL OF AGING STUDIES HELD ITS ANNUAL PRECEPTOR RECEPTION ON APRIL 8TH, 2014
Each year the School of Aging Studies Awards scholarships to outstanding students in the field of Gerontology. The following scholarship awards were given:
- Alexandre Caudron - Harold L. Sheppard Endowed Memorial Scholarship in Gerontology
- Patricia Maldonado - Kymberly Jane Harris Endowed Scholarship in Long Term Care Administration
- Christopher Camacho - Tollette Family Endowed Scholarship in Gerontology
- Peggy NeNio - Wiley P. Mangum Scholarship
- Elise Valdes & Shannon Hendrix-Buxton - H. Edward and Mildred E. Greely Endowed Fellowship in Aging Studies
The School of Aging Studies also honors faculty that have shown outstanding teaching and service in the field of Gerontology. This year’s faculty awards were given to:
- Dr. Brianne Stanback - Wiley P. Mangum Outstanding Service Award in the Field of Gerontology
- Dr. Kathryn Hyer- Sue V. Saxon Outstanding Teaching Award in the Field of Gerontology
In addition to the faculty awards, the following community and alumni partners were recognized:
- Vickie McDonald, Life Path Hospice & Laurie Ferguson, John Knox Village Baycare- Community Partner of the Year Award
- Kerry Kimball Marsalek, City of Clearwater Office on Aging- Outstanding Alumni Award
