Aging Studies Co-hosts Guest Speaker
Edward J. Golob, PhD, will present "Control of Auditory Spatial Attention in Aging" on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10:30am in the Psychology/CSD building, PCD 1147. Dr. Golob is currently an Associate Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Tulane University and a member of Tulane's Center for Aging. He Received his PhD at Dartmouth College, where he studied cellular activity in neural circuits that support spatial cognition. As a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Irvine he performed auditory cognitive neuroscience studies on normal aging, mild cognitive impairment, and Alzheimer's disease. His lab at Tulane studies the perception of sound location, speech and music on how auditory processing is affected by attention and memory demands.
