March 21, 2015: CELEBRATE SOUND Don't Walk In Silence®

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is pleased to announce an upcoming event that will take place Saturday March 21st on the USF Tampa Campus. The CELEBRATE SOUND Don't Walk In Silence® fundraiser is a 5k Fun Run/1.5 mile Walk, and proceeds raised will benefit CSD. CELEBRATE SOUND is a national fundraising and awareness raising effort by Sertoma, Inc. and Hearing Charities of America to promote hearing health. Last year, proceeds from the event held on the USF Tampa Campus subsidized a $5,000 grant awarded to CSD by Sertoma, Inc., assisted in subsidizing affiliate scholarships available to USF students, and enabled the department to receive a $3,000 gift from the Tampa Gem Sertoma Club to go toward looping the waiting room in the USF Hearing Clinic.
