In recognition of the successful completion of the first year of the audiology doctoral program, students participated in a white coat ceremony on Aug. 24 in the Phyllis P. Marshall Student Center. With approximately 100 friends, family and faculty members present, 12 students received their white coats. Included in the ceremony were: Courtney Matthews, Amanda Brandino, Matthew Seldine, Katie Nail, Yunet Holmes, Ioanna Tagarelli, Miller McInnis, Derek Gavin, Peter Hutchison, Alicia Durkin, Amy Brown and Megan Haney.

Several faculty members were speakers for the ceremony, including: Dr. Julianne Serovich, College of Behavioral and Community Sciences dean; Dr. Theresa Chisolm, Community Sciences and Disorders chair; Dr. Jennifer Lister, Audiology Program director; Dr. Nancy Muscato, Hearing Clinic director; Dr. Tina Tucker, Community Sciences and Disorders alumna and instructor; and Dr. Alaina Hodges, Community Sciences and Disorders alumna and preceptor.

These second-year students will now enter into clinicals and, under supervision, meet with audiology patients in the USF Hearing Clinic.
