AHCA Contract Amendment Adds $816,000 and Four Projects to Existing Contract
FMHI faculty and staff who work on the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) contract recently received an executed amendment that adds $816,000 to the existing contract for four projects that will be conducted during the 2014-15 fiscal year. This is the 18th year that the Institute has had a contract with AHCA totaling nearly $16 million dollars. The latest contract comes during a time of major changes being implemented to Florida's Medicaid system. The projects will include:
- Amy Vargo, MA, (CFS) will be leading a team examining the implementation of the redesigned Child Welfare Managed Medical Assistance program.
- Mary Armstrong, PhD, (CFS) will be heading a group examining the implementation of the SMI Managed Medical Assistance program that will serve both children and adults.
- Holly Hills, PhD, (MHLP) and colleagues will be examining the integration of substance abuse into the delivery of primary care and mental health services. This is the first time that Florida has required providers to include substance abuse services as part of their service array.
- Annette Christy, PhD, (MHLP) will be continuing her infrastructure development activities to support the migration of Baker Act reporting data to an on-line system.
The Policy and Services Research Data Center (PSRDC) will be conducting the administrative data analyses associated with these projects.
