CBCS Study Abroad Program Returns from Ireland
The CBCS Ireland Study Abroad Program, Global Social Policy, Planning and Practices: Solutions to Homelessness in the U.S. and Ireland, led by Mark Engelhardt (MHLP) has successfully concluded. This 8 week course, with two weeks in Dublin, Galway and Killarney, featured collaborating faculty from Trinity College, Dr. Eoin O'Sullivan (Chair of Social Policy), Dr. Paula Mayock and Dr. Ronni Greenwood (U. of Limerick) and Dr. Sam Tsemberis (SKYPED in - Pathways to Housing - U.S.). An outstanding group of 10 USF students, representing 6 majors, were excellent ambassadors at Trinity College and on field experiences to Focus Ireland and the Simon Community, community-based providers ending homelessness. In the true Irish spirit, Trinity College will "welcome" USF back next June.
