MHLP Research Associate Professor Receives Diversity Award
Celia Lescano, PhD, was recently awarded the 2015 Award for Distinguished Contributions to Diversity in Pediatric Psychology by Division 54 (Society of Pediatric Psychology; SPP) of the American Psychological Association. The award, in its inaugural year, honors a pediatric psychologist who professionally promotes understanding and respect for diversity (broadly defined to include race/ethnicity, gender, culture, disability status, sexual orientation, language differences, socioeconomic status and/or religion) in research, policy, or practice within the field of Pediatric Psychology. Dr. Lescano was presented with the award at the SPP Annual Conference held in San Diego April 16th through 18th.
