MHLP Faculty Present in Vienna
Dr. Kim Johnson and Dr. Roger Peters, faculty members in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy provided plenary presentations in Vienna, Austria at the International Conference on Drug Prevention, Treatment and Care in early July. Dr. Johnson's presentation was entitled "Developing sustainable drug demand reduction workforce infrastructure", and Dr. Peters' presentation was entitled "Justice populations with substance use and co-occurring mental disorders." The conference was hosted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), and included 600 participants from more than 100 countries. Cary Hopkins Eyles, also from the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy, attended workshops during the conference pursuant to receiving certification as a Global Trainer by the Colombo Plan's Global Centre for Credentialing and Certification.
