MHLP Faculty Participate in International Conference in Peru

Dr. Kim Johnson, Dr. Roger Peters, and Cary Hopkins Eyles, MSW, CAP participated in the 4th Annual Conference of the International Consortium of Universities for Drug Demand Reduction (ICUDDR) in Cusco, Pero in late July. Dr. Kim Johnson serves as Executive Director of ICUDDR, Dr. Peters is Vice-President of ICUDDR, and Cary Hopkins Eyles serves as Coordinator of ICUDDR. The ICUDDR annual conference serves as a forum for universities from around the world to share information about developing academic programs in addiction studies, and about scientific developments related to prevention and treatment of substance use disorders. The organization is supported by the Colombo Plan, with funding provided by the U.S. Department of State. The ICUDDR conference in Cusco, Peru involved 418 participants from 31 countries, representing 46 different universities.
