Research Interests

I am interested in risk and protective factors for cognitive impairment and dementia. I am currently examining this in my dissertation by investigating cognitive, neuropsychiatric, and neurological risk factors for dementia, and whether a healthy lifestyle (or greater levels of cognitive reserve) can moderate this risk.

I am also interested in investigating memory care in Assisted Living Communities and applying research findings to changes that can happen at the policy level. To see more about this, please visit: Policy and Assisted Living Lab
